LIVERED LINCOLN STUDENT HOUSING
This high-density student housing development utilized a multi-level podium construction system designed to maximize residential density, parking capacity, and amenity space within a constrained urban footprint.
The seven-story, 330,000-square-foot project combined a two-story cast-in-place concrete podium with five levels of wood-framed residential construction above. Structural coordination focused on supporting parking, residential units, and elevated amenity areas while managing the differing structural behavior between the concrete podium and upper wood-framed systems.
A major component of the project involved the elevated courtyard and amenity deck, which required heavily reinforced transfer slab construction to support the weight of the pool, landscaped areas, gathering spaces, and high occupant loads above occupied and parking areas below. Waterproofing, drainage, and long-term durability were critical considerations throughout the elevated deck design.
The completed development provides student housing, parking, and community amenities within an efficient mixed-use structural system designed to support long-term residential use and high daily occupancy demands.
