ULL FLETCHER HALL
- LAFAYETTE, LA
ULL FLETCHER HALL
This project involved the renovation and expansion of Fletcher Hall at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, home to the School of Architecture and Design and the Department of Visual Arts.
The work included approximately 16,000 square feet of new steel-framed additions constructed above existing open second-floor areas within the original cast-in-place concrete structure. The project also incorporated new concrete topping slabs and structural modifications designed to support expanded academic and studio space while integrating with the existing building framework.
Working within an occupied, historically significant campus structure required careful coordination among new and existing systems, building envelope improvements, and long-term facility upgrades. The renovation also addressed ongoing building performance issues while preserving the architectural character of the original facility.
The completed project modernized and expanded the facility to better support design education, collaboration, and continued campus use.
