Tangipahoa Parish Consolidated Drainage Office Building

TANGIPAHOA PARISH

This public works facility in Tickfaw was designed to support the operational needs of the Tangipahoa Parish Drainage Department while creating a durable, highly efficient civic building using industrial construction methods.

The structure utilizes rolled-steel radiused frames and corrugated-steel arch panels to create the building’s distinctive curved profile and large open interior spaces. Structural coordination focused on maximizing durability, reducing material complexity, and creating an efficient building envelope capable of performing in South Louisiana’s high-wind and high-moisture environment.

The project also integrated glass curtain walls, office spaces, and support functions within the industrial-style shell, requiring careful coordination between structural systems, natural lighting, thermal performance, and public-facing work environments.

The completed facility is a resilient, efficient government operations building designed to support long-term public infrastructure services while demonstrating a practical approach to modern civic construction.
