West Regional Library
- SCOTT, LA
WEST REGIONAL LIBRARY
This regional library facility in Scott was developed to serve as a modern community resource that supports education, access to technology, and public gathering within the Lafayette Public Library system.
The steel-framed building was designed to accommodate large open reading areas, meeting spaces, technology hubs, and community functions within a flexible and highly accessible public environment. Structural systems incorporated steel framing, long-span roof systems, and integrated glazing designed to support open interior layouts, natural light, and long-term durability throughout the facility.
Coordination between structural systems, acoustics, technology infrastructure, and public circulation played an important role in supporting both quiet reading environments and active community-use spaces within the building.
The completed library provides a modern civic facility designed to support learning, collaboration, and long-term community use.
