Ascension Parish Complex
- GONZALES, LA
ASCENSION PARISH COMPLEX
This 32,000-square-foot government facility was developed to consolidate multiple Ascension Parish departments into a centralized public services campus in Gonzales.
The single-story building was designed to support administrative operations, public access, and long-term civic functionality within a modern government environment. Structural coordination played a significant role in supporting large public gathering areas, open interior spaces, and the integration of elevated roof forms and expansive glass systems throughout the facility.
A key component of the project involved the building’s relationship to the surrounding site and water features. Specialized foundation systems and cantilevered structural elements were incorporated to support the building adjacent to, and extending over, landscaped pond areas while maintaining long-term structural performance in challenging local soil conditions.
The completed complex provides a modern civic facility designed to improve operational efficiency, public accessibility, and long-term use for Ascension Parish government services.
