On March 29, 2017, the new Ascension Parish Government Complex was featured in the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. Fox-Nesbit Engineering, LLC is the Structural Engineer for this impressive project.
With a sleek and modern design, the newly constructed facility is a 33,500 square foot single-story steel-framed office building that consolidates several Ascension Parish governmental departments. It also features a grand entrance popped-up roof structure in the center third of the building and a deep grade beam foundation along the front of the building that accommodates a pond against the building, with slabs that cantilever over the water. Embedded steel channel banding and handrails also add to the stunning design of the complex.
